The Award-winning Food and Travel Magazine combines people's love of adventure, gastronomy and stunning photography, with tempting recipes and insider tips. Just a Drop is the benefiting charity at their annual Food and Travel Reader Awards.

Every month, Food and Travel brings tourism and food together in a single magazine. Food and Travel is about the quest for new foods and new the discovery of new places and new friends. The best travel, wine and food writers have been briefed to search the world for exciting destinations, the latest restaurants and the finest cooking. Together we'll be lifting the lids off saucepans, sticking our noses into glasses, moving and shaking in bars and checking in to some of the most interesting and undiscovered destinations at home and around the globe.

We are so grateful to have a platform at the awards to talk about our work, and for the funds that are generously raised for us by everyone that attends.

What We Do

We work at a grassroots level to support communities around the world with access to sustainable safe water solution, sanitation facilities and knowledge of safe hygiene practices: such as through the construction of wells, pipelines, sand dams, rainwater harvesting systems and latrines, and hygiene and sanitation programmes.

Why Water?

With clean water, communities can begin to lift themselves out of poverty and build brighter futures. Drinking dirty water can make people sick. That’s just part of the picture. A lack of clean water and sanitation holds back development and makes it harder for communities to escape the poverty trap.
Our Approach

We believe everyone, everywhere, should have access to clean water as a basic right. We want to see a world where everyone has clean water and adequate sanitation, and the increased health and prosperity this brings. Our approach is to support marginalised people across the world through community-led development, rather than aid; and to focus on sustainability and quality, ensuring a project's transformative impact is felt for decades to come.

Radisson Hotel Group

Radisson Hotel Group has partnered with Just a Drop to help give children around the world access to safe drinking water through the towel re-use programme. Guests are asked to reuse their towels and forego housekeeping. For every towel reused, Radisson Hotel Group make a donation to Just a Drop. Over 24,000 people across Just a Drop projects in Kenya, Nicaragua, Peru and India now have access to safe water thanks to this initiative.

Baltimore Aircoil Company

Just a Drop partnered with Baltimore Aircoil Company on World Water Day, 22 March 2018, to bring safe water and sanitation to communities worldwide. Since then, our partnership has reached thousands of people and in the coming year, BAC will support a further two projects in the Tempisque and La Jícara villages of Nicaragua, bringing water, sanitation, and hygiene to 251 people.
