The George Oliver Foundation is a grant-making charity that gives funding to charities supporting disadvantaged children and young people. The Foundation was set up in 2010 after their son George died when he was 14 months old.

The George Oliver Foundation has kindly part-funded a new rainwater harvesting tank project at Kavuvwani Primary School in Kenya.

The project will provide the 317 children at the school with access to safe, clean water all year round. This means they will be able to attend school more regularly as they are healthier and no longer have to waste time fetching water from a distant, dirty water source.

Their funding has also contributed to the construction of handwashing stations, WASH training, soap making demonstrations and Menstrual Health and Hygiene training. As the students learn better hygiene practices and gain access to crucial hygiene facilities, their health improves and they are able to get an education.
