Wild Frontiers is an adventure travel company that prides itself on delivering unique experiences that leave a long-lasting positive impact on both their clients and the people and places they visit.
Wild Frontiers is partnering with Just a Drop to support a project in Doun Ov Village in Cambodia. Although tens of thousands of tourists visit the Angkor Wat temple complex every year, 45% of people in Siem Reap province still live below the poverty line. In Doun Ov Village, sanitation facilities are currently unsafe, and many residents rely on contaminated water, leading to illnesses that prevent children from attending school and adults from working.
The project will bring life-changing improvements to Doun Ov Village by:
- Installing 80 biosand filters
- Constructing 25 latrines
- Introducing comprehensive water, sanitation & hygiene (WASH) training
Together, these interventions will improve the lives of around 320 people, providing households with a sustainable source of safe, drinkable water; giving families the dignity and safety of private sanitation; and enabling healthier routines.
