
Country Partners
We work with country partners who are experts on the local environments we work in, as well as the creative engineering solutions we use to support communities with access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene education. We carefully select our country partners and each has passed a rigorous due diligence review.
Just a Drop is immensely grateful to each of our country partners, without who we would not be able to deliver the amazing, impactful projects we do.
Water for Cambodia (WfC), Cambodia
Water for Cambodia are experienced practitioners in providing safe water, sanitation, and hygiene solutions in Cambodia. Since 2006, Water for Cambodia has installed over 30,000 filters in households and schools, providing access to safe water for 150,000 people. Their nationally recognised water testing lab helps them to test and monitor water solutions for quality and safety.
WfC comprises a 16-strong team based in the Siem Reap District of Cambodia.
Africa Sand Dam Foundation (ASDF), Kenya
We have worked ASDF as long as we have worked in Kenya, and have completed many successful projects benefitting thousands of people together. ASDF build sand dams and water tanks, as well as implementing a whole host of additional programmes from menstrual health to climate smart agriculture.
They work in the counties of Makueni, Machakos, and Kitui in Kenya.
Haritika, India
Our country partner in India, Haritika, offer a range of programmes to complement their implementation of safe water, sanitation, and hygiene solutions. Haritika strive to improve living standards by making people self-reliant through their work.
Haritika has been operating in India since 1994 and are headquartered in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh.
El Porvenir, Nicaragua
In their time, El Porvenir have completed hundreds of projects in Nicaragua, reaching around 300,000 people. As well as being experts in water, sanitation, and hygiene, El Porvenir also carry out watershed restoration programmes, which Just a Drop also supports. These help to improve food security and reduce the impacts of climate change.
El Porvenir has 36 members of staff and operate throughout Nicaragua to deliver their programmes.
Soroti Catholic Diocese Integrated Development Organization (SOCADIDO), Uganda
SOCADIDO was set up in 1981 as the development arm of the Catholic Diocese of Soroti. SOCADIDO work hard to ensure communities in Uganda have access to safe water, are more resilient to climate change, and can gain sustainable livelihoods.
SOCADIDO has a 40-strong team based in Soroti City.
Voluntary Action for Development (VAD), Uganda
VAD is a Ugandan not for profit organisation which was set up in 1996. VAD’s four main programme areas are health, education promotion, livelihood and food security, and life skills development, all of which they achieve through the power of safe water, sanitation, and hygiene.
VAD’s permanent staff of four are based in Kampala.
Empowered Communities Helping Others (ECHO), Zambia
ECHO are one of our partners in Zambia and one which we have completed plenty of projects with. ECHO work with communities to not only install and repair boreholes, but also to comprehensively achieve social development in the communities we work with.
Makolekole, Zambia
Makolekole work by their ethos ‘water is life’ in the Luangwa Valley in Zambia. Makolekole are experts in the geography and socio-economic layout of the Luangwa Valley and so are ideal partners for working in the region with.
