On World Water Day, 22nd March, Just a Drop launches the 2024 edition of last year's Walk to the Well campaign. Then, via X, we were challenging you to scroll through the journey to fetch water of a woman without access to safe water. This year, our challenge is all about listening, watching, and understanding. 

 

We are handing over to Kamende, a woman in rural Uganda who recently experienced the transition from living without access to safe water, to living with access to safe water. We were fortunate enough to speak to Kamende, who is an active spokesperson for her community on issues surrounding safe water in the Kapelebyong region of northern Uganda. 

 

But, the cornerstone of this campaign is listening, not to us, but to people on the ground about their lives and their experiences. So please allow us to pass over to Kamende herself….
