How You Can Make A Difference Just a Drop - Together We Can Go Further Just a Drop has been chosen as a charity in the Big Give Christmas Challenge - the UK’s biggest digital match funding platform, running this year between Tuesday 30th November and Tuesday 7th December. This means that if you make a donation between the 30th November and Tuesday 7th December it will have TWICE the impact! Every donation that you make will support our core costs. With your support, we'll develop our vital hygiene work. You'll help girls stay in school as we'll develop our menstrual hygiene programme. And with the development of an income generating loans programme, you'll empower women to escape the poverty trap. Can you help us to raise £20,000 that will support our projects team to develop life-changing programmes? What's the Situation? COVID-19 vaccine roll-outs are years away from reaching the countries we serve, making hand hygiene their first line of defence against the pandemic. In countries like Zambia, 20-30% of girls miss school during their period, but with relevant education and training on menstrual health and hygiene, this can be reduced. And finally, to sustainably reduce poverty, women need to be empowered to develop incomes and livelihoods, once they are freed from having to trek to find water every day. And the Solution? With your support, Just a Drop will develop its work across each area. We'll provide relevant hygiene education and training, with access to safe water and soap-making, so communities can wash their hands, the first line of defence against diseases like COVID-19. By developing our menstrual hygiene programme, school drop-out rates of adolescent girls will decrease as stigmas are removed. Income generating loans will empower women to open small businesses, dramatically improving livelihoods. What will your help enable us to do? To provide the stability needed to continue our focus on developing holistic, sustainable programmes that will transform the lives of the communities we serve across the world. To empower women to improve their livelihoods by increasing their income, moving them out of poverty. To enable girls to stay in school during their periods and not drop out, whilst providing education to normalise periods To enable communities where we work to mitigate the impacts of coronavirus So please follow this link and make a donation to our life-changing work between 30th November and 7th December!
