International water charity, Just a Drop has joined force with premium tonic water and mixer brand, Lixir Drinks to bring clean water and sanitation solutions to communities around the world.

The new partnership will see the contemporary mixer brand donate 1% of their revenue towards the safe water projects that Just a Drop runs across Africa, Asia and Latin America. So far, the international water charity has brought sustainable safe water, sanitation and hygiene projects to over 1.7 million people across 32 different countries.

“Just a Drop is so delighted to be working with Lixir Drinks,” said Just a Drop founder, Fiona Jeffery OBE. “When you make your purchase of tonic water and mixers, it will enable communities to access and drink safe water; transforming their lives and protecting them during the pandemic.”

Lixir Drinks was launched through a successful crowdfunding campaign in 2018 by bartending duo Matt Mahatme and Jordan Palmer. As bartenders and friends, the two set out to shake up an industry that had gone flat by creating drinks that are big on flavour, with less sugar, fewer calories and absolutely nothing artificial.

Lixir Drinks Co-Founder, Jordan Palmer said “We’re really proud to be launching our new partnership to donate 1% of our revenue each year to Just A Drop. We want our consumers to enjoy our drinks knowing that their purchase is really making a difference for those who need it most.”

Matt Mahatme added “The humble G&T actually has medicinal origins, so it made sense for us to partner with JAD. Now when our amazing customers have a Lixir, they will be helping to provide an ‘Elixir’ for someone less fortunate through JAD clean drinking water initiatives.”

As the hospitality industry begins to open up, the partnership will ensure that hundreds of people in communities across the world are able to benefit from safe water.
