A former Royal Engineer, John is a legendary explorer, having led over 100 expeditions to remote corners of the globe. He also set up and led Operations Drake and Raleigh and is President of the Scientific Exploration Society. John leads a number of our projects in the field.
When Fiona was the the Chairman of World Travel Market (WTM), she set up Just a Drop as a way to encourage travel and tourism companies to give something back to the world in which the industry operated. She also established World Responsible Tourism Day at WTM.
Clare has gained a breadth of experience in a variety of financial and strategic roles and is currently the Finance Director at the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance. She was appointed a Trustee of Just a Drop in December 2014.
A Chartered Accountant by training, Nick spent 30 years with Reed Exhibitions, and since 1995 was the Worldwide Commercial Director until his retirement last year. He has known Just a Drop since its inception and now he has retired wishes to play a greater role in its development.
Following an early forces background with the Royal Engineers, Chris completed a Cranfield MBA. He then spent several years in business finance and accounting consultancy roles, before joining Coopers & Lybrand and then PWC. He has a particular interest in charity work in underdeveloped countries.
Jane has over 20 years experience in national and international public relations. She set up Jane Larcombe Communications in 1998 and her PR expertise is vital to raising awareness of Just a Drop and the desperate need for safer water in many parts of the world.
Mike has worked on all seven continents and is now a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and of the Institution of Plant Engineers. He developed an interest in water whilst serving with the Brigade of Ghurkhas, during a trip to Nepal. He gets enormous satisfaction from his voluntary work and helping to change the lives of disadvantaged people. He joined Just a Drop in 2005.
Peter is the Managing Partner of Simpson Millar LLP, overseeing all aspects of the legal firm’s day to day management. He has recently written a chapter entitled ‘The Structuring of Law Firms after the Legal Services Act 2007’ for the 2nd edition of the Practice Management Handbook published by the Law Society.
