John Colville (Africa)
By profession an agronomist, John has worked all over the world. The early part of his career was spent an Agricultural Extension Officer in the Sepik District, New Guinea and later positions include being the General Manager of The Great Man-made River Project Libya.
Commander Chris Mahony RN (Africa)
Chris served in the Royal Navy as a helicopter pilot, working in conflict/post conflict areas and on disaster relief operations. His recent position in the Foreign Office as Chief of Staff provided a useful insight into many key global issues including projects in challenging environments such as Afghanistan.
Roger Johnson (Tanzania)
Roger has over 40 years’ experience of working overseas in developing countries. He now devotes his time to working for charitable trusts on aid Projects in Africa and elsewhere. He is a Chartered Engineer, a Chartered Surveyor, and a qualified Project Manager.
John Mitchell (Kenya)
John is a mechanical engineer with over 35 years’ experience in managing water and wastewater treatment projects in Southern Africa. Having witnessed extreme poverty and hardship in Africa, he now finds it rewarding to be able to help some of these communities through Just a Drop.
Colonel Mike Reynolds (Uganda)
Mike has worked on all seven continents and is now a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and of the Institution of Plant Engineers. He developed an interest in water whilst serving with the Brigade of Ghurkhas, during a trip to Nepal. Mike is also one of our Trustees.
Geoff Pook (Asia)
Geoff is a chartered civil engineer with experience on water and sanitation projects in the UK, the Caribbean, Egypt, India, and Hong Kong. He says, “Just a Drop gives me the opportunity to use my skills to help others and to get to know people in a way only working in a country can”.
Jim Baldwin (India)
Jim is a chartered civil engineer with over 45 years’ experience in the implementation of major civil, water and sanitation projects worldwide. He has wide experience in water resource development, water supply, sanitation, well drilling and irrigation projects in Asia, Africa, the Middle East and South America.
Tim Kingham (Haiti)
Tim is a chartered civil engineer with over 40 years’ experience in the water and environmental sectors around the world. His experience spans DfID and the Halcrow Group where he was responsible for technical and water sector business performance assignments.
Julian Butter (Latin America)
Julian has over 40 years experience as a civil engineer working in the UK and overseas on water, road and industrial infrastructure projects. He has worked with John Blashford-Snell on the water projects of three of his expeditions in South America. He is a Spanish speaker and a Member of the Institute of Civil Engineers.
Yolima Ciapagauta Rodriguez (Latin America)
Yoli lectures in economics at the Military University Nueva Granada in Bogota, Colombia. For the past 18 years, Yoli has taken part in major Scientific Exploration Society (SES) expeditions around the world and is the Operations Director of the SES for Latin America.
