This Reed Exhibitions’ civil and industrial plant engineering event in Italy has provided clean drinking water to 120 Masai communities and helped take thousands of desperate homeless boys off the street in Nairobi in Keyna.
Mr Massimiliano Pierini, Sales Manager, Reed Exhibitions Italia, said he was delighted that his team had made a difference to the lives of so many children who had known nothing but unimaginable poverty.
“High unemployment and extreme depravation”, he explains, “meant that the boys always returned to glue sniffing and crime on the streets. By setting up the Osiligi Street Children Rehabilitation project outside the city, we reduced temptation. And by building more boreholes, these boys are being trained for horticultural jobs where there is much demand.”
