Netherlands Board of Tourism & Conventions

The Netherlands Board of Tourism & Conventions have supported Just a Drop for the last past 5 years, and their generous fundraising activities at World Travel Market have always been imaginative and attention grabbing.

Last year the Board and Den Haag Marketing e-Bay styled auctioned an electric car at their stand and raised £6,500. These funds have been used to provide clean, safe water for the village of Siazibola in Zambia providing a secure environment for its 200 inhabitants to fetch water without the fear of being attacked by crocodiles.

Andrew Van Der Feltz Director UK & Ireland says- 'Over the years we, as the NBTC,  have been honoured to be able to support in any way we can the positive and life changing work that Just a drop carries out for providing clean water to global communities and in particular children who suffer terribly from a host of water borne diseases as a result of unsafe drinking water.'

It remains humbling to see what a relatively small contribution toward this charity can do to improve the lives of many by providing the basic necessity of clean water that many take for granted.  We are therefore particularly delighted with the funds, raised as a result of the auctioning of the electric car, which will be put towards The Butterfly Tree project that will provide the village of Siazibola in the Chikuyu zone of the Mukuni  Chiefdom (Zambia) with clean water improving the lives of its 200 inhabitants.

We look forward to our next initiative to continue our support for Just a Drop.

This year the NBTC in co-operation with Floriade 2012 supports the fundraising activity at WTM 2009. Fundraisers carrying the Just a Drop signature blue buckets will sport new colourful floral fashion this year wearing accessories in Floriade style made from 100% natural and sustainable materials. Please make sure to give generously and support those who are most in need.

Floriade 2012 is also giving away free bottles of the purest water to create awareness for the fantastic cause that Just a Drop promotes.
