Tanzania Ughandi B 2009

Name of project: Ugandi B Water Project.

Location:  Ugandi B village, approximately 45 km from Singida Town, Tanzania, Africa.

Challenge: The village is in a desert region that is subject to ongoing drought and famines.

What we did: We drilled two boreholes to a depth of 100 metres, installed two hand pumps.

Achievements: We trained the local community in maintaining the boreholes.

Beneficiaries: 3000 people
