Earth Images presents stunningly different images of our world.
Some of the most arresting appear to be of water, yet were created millions of years ago at huge temperatures by volcanic action: water out of fire.
Professor Richard Weston has spent many years producing the world’s largest private collection of highly magnified images of often tiny fragments of mineral and stone with romantic names like Tiger’s Eye, Ocean Jasper and Indian Paint Stone – and some more well known ones like quartz, ruby and turquoise.
