Col. John Blashford-Snell OBE
A former Royal Engineer, John is one of the world’s most seasoned and legendary explorers and has led over seventy expeditions to remote corners of the globe. Under the patronage of the Prince of Wales, he has also se up and led Operations Drake and Raleigh involving over 10,000 young men and women in the largest youth leadership expedition ever. As President of the Scientific Exploration Society, he also organises expeditions for more mature people concentrating on archaeological, environmental, medical and wildlife projects. Project Co-ordinator - John Purefoy
John graduated from Middlesex Polytechnic in 1986 with a degree in Mathematics for Business. Shortly afterwards,he jointly set up Document Despatch, a fulfilment house offering a full range of data handling and mailing services. After selling the business, he undertook voluntary work with Help the Aged and The Advocacy Service. He joined Just a Drop in June 2010 and took on his current role in November 2010. John processes all of the applications received through to those approved by the trustees.
Executive Director -Sarah Robbie
She started her career at the BBC before moving into corporate communications for major brands, private and public sector organisations including: Nike, BMW , Audi, Learning & Skills Council, DTI, Scottish Widows and sports governing bodies such as The FA and International Tennis Federation.
For much of the past decade, Sarah has worked as a Producer/Director making films for charities such as Home-Start, Woodland Trust and Plan and as Head of Development / Executive Producer at Media Trust Productions for charities and public sector organisations including: Age Concern, NHS, COI, London Youth Games, and DFID. Sarah set up Third Sector Productions at the end of 2008 where she quickly secured a major contract with Balfour Beatty PLC to oversee the production of films about young people’s charities London Youth Games, Action for Children and The Prince’s Trust for their ‘Building Better Futures‘ CSR initiative. TSP also produced 30 films for the GLA/London Health commission in 2010.
Prior to joining Just a Drop as Executive Director in May 2011 Sarah used her corporate, charity and client skills in the role of New Business Manager , Corporate Fundraising for children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent where she and her small team successfully secured several six figure corporate partnerships.
Fundraising Manager - Nikki Davis
Nikki joined Reed Travel Exhibitions in 1996 as an Assistant to Fiona Jeffery, Chairman of World Travel Market. Since 1998 (when Just a Drop was founded) Nikki has helped and assisted with the development of the charity, undertaking and managing various aspects of the charity's growth. In January 2010 Nikki became Fundraising Manager on behalf of the charity.
Marketing and Communications - Ana Sustelo
Ana joined Just a Drop in September 2007 as Just a Drop Co-ordinator. Ana's role has evolved and in 2010 was promoted to Marketing & Communications Executive. She now oversees all the marketing and communication activity on behalf of the charity.
