ILTM SUPPORT HAITI

ILTM has announced their support for the Reed corporate clean water charity Just a Drop and in the coming months will be revealing a number of new initiatives, which will offer the opportunity for the ILTM community including buyers, suppliers and press, to get involved and contribute to this worthy cause.

Just a Drop, one of Reed Exhibitions chosen charities, was launched in 1998 as a dedicated water aid charity, helping to combat child mortality in some of the poorest communities around the world. The charity raises desperately needed funds to build water facilities, and run health and sanitation programmes and currently aims to raise funds to supply clean safe water to Haiti following the recent disaster.

Debbie Joslin, Group Exhibition Director at Reed Exhibitions said: “The very nature of our events brings together people from every corner of the globe who care about world development and whose businesses survive on the luxury of travel. This campaign means we can help make a difference to those in developing countries who desperately require clean safe water to survive. Just a Drop desperately needs our help and support and we are confident that the ILTM community will help play a part in raising funds.”

ILTM initiatives will include campaign work via a presence at networking parties in the run up to the event to raise money for Just a Drop, as well as at the event itself.

Companies wishing to support ILTM in the appeal can submit donations online via the ILTM website, providing ongoing support for villages and communities in Haiti helping to rebuild water and sanitation infrastructure and encourage displaced communities back to their villages and homes.
