Norwegian Breakaway launch in aid of Just a Drop
On 29th April, Norwegian Cruise Line will launch its new ship – Norwegian Breakaway – at an on-board event in Southampton. Norwegian is working in partnership with Just a Drop at its UK inaugural to raise money for safe water, and has embarked on a ‘Breakaway Water Project’ to help bring clean water to a village in Africa.
Norwegian is donating £1 for every agent attending the launch and is encouraging attendees to make a donation of their own. Click here if you would like to support the Breakaway project with a donation.
Four times Paralympic Champion, Ellie Simmonds who is also attending the event says, “I am so excited to be involved with the launch of Norwegian Breakaway and support the Breakaway Water Project. As a swimmer, I love being around water and the way that the ship has been designed gives such a great sense of place. I can’t wait to see the ocean facing Waterfront and 5 slide Aqua Park – the biggest at sea!”
Francis Riley, Vice President and General Manager International Norwegian Cruise Line says, “Our strong connection to water makes Just a Drop a natural partner for the UK launch of Norwegian Breakaway which, in itself, has been designed to really focus on the ocean around it. We are proud to champion safe water; it is incredibly humbling to know that the arrival of our latest ship can prevent the unnecessary loss of life somewhere in the world, and we are calling for donations – however large or small.”
