In 1999, Just a Drop helped 16,639 people in 18 Cambodian villages. As well as helping to build 50 new hand-dug ring wells in nine key villages and developing a community health education programme, we supported:
- The restoration of five existing wells
- A major preventive health education programme, with particular emphasis on the prevention and treatment of childhood and water-related illnesses
- The promotion of safe sanitary practices, environmental management and hygiene
- A disaster response programme to educate the community on how to prepare for natural disasters such as floods
