We support water, sanitation and health projects around the world. We also help in disaster relief efforts when the most basic human need is clean water. For example:
In Cambodia, we built 50 new wells in nine villages, restored five other wells and launched a community health programme.
In North East India, we helped the isolated village of Riangmaw by providing a new water system to pump water 60m up a slope.
In Bolivia, we worked with the Scientific Exploration Society to supply a new piping system to the 8,000 people living in the villages of Vallegrande.
In Afghanistan, we worked in partnership with the Scientific Exploration Society to provide the Khanabad Emergency Obstetric Clinic with fresh clean water.
In Sudan, along with First Data Western Union Foundation, we provided four wells, hand pumps and a drainage system for 5,700 people in the villages of Amarah and Magarif.
In Uganda, together with the Scientific Exploration Society and African Revival, we assisted the Grace Christian Academy in Gulu, giving 1,900 orphans and refugees access to clean water.
For 2008, we are looking into projects in Bolivia, Uganda, the Philippines, Niger and Ecuador to name a few.
One thing is for sure: there is always more to be done.
