Charity Car Wash - December 2005

On 15 December 2005, 7 travel and tourism students from Strode College, Street in Somerset put on their Santa hats, rubber gloves and wellies at 9am and started to wash lots of grimey cars in the Sports Hall Car Park, hoping to raise funds for Just a Drop.

45 cars and 7 and a half hours later Kirstie, Katie, Adam, Stacey, Jade, Carolyn and Hayley managed to raise £142 and another £22 was raised by their tutor who organised a Christmas Tombola to bring a seasonal feel to the event.

The event was well supported by tutors and students who had clearly tried to make the cars as muddy as possible!
